There are many tools out there that make design easy and accessible to everyone. Among those, Canva is a tool that gained a lot of popularity recently and for very good reasons.

If you are curious about how to start a print-on-demand (POD) business, you should know that a big part of your success will hinge on making appealing and topical designs and a tool like Canva can make your life a lot easier in that regard.

Canva is a graphic design platform used to create graphics and presentations and includes templates that allow each user to get the highest level of creativity out of their work. Canva makes the cost to get started with print-on-demand even lower, as there’s a free plan that allows beginners to use templates and start building their businesses.

Using Canva for Print-on-Demand

Canva is one of the most popular free graphic design platforms. Any creative mind can upload their own artwork or photos, add them to Canva templates, and use a drag-and-drop interface to create new and compelling designs.

Even if you have no photo editing knowledge, you will be able to use Canva, which is why this program has managed to capture millions of users ina few short years. There are thousands of free, professionally designed templates, all of which can be implemented for a variety of usages and business models.

Whenever someone aims to begin a print-on-demand business, they are typically intimidated by the logistics and the cost associated with the business model. However, Canva introduced a product known as Canva Print, which has helped to streamline this process.

Using Canva Print

Canva Print was developed to help people bring their creations to life. Any user can pick from more than 50,000 different templates, from which they can gain inspiration and create a unique design.

Canva can either be used on its web-based platform or through a downloadable app. In both cases, users select a template, modify it, and submit their order.

Canva Print is available for limited products in a few regions, including Australia, Brazil, Canada, Europe, India, Japan, Mexico, New Zealand, the Caribbean, Russia, South East Asia, South America, Central America, South Korea, and the United States. The service offers to ship to the aforementioned regions and only to specified countries that are listed on the official website.

With that in mind, there are numerous products that Canva Print can print, including vinyl or mesh banners, retractable banners, yard signs, canvas prints, mouse pads, mugs, calendars, stickers, and t-shirts.

How the Shipping Process Works

There are three tiers within Canva Print that users need to understand before making an order. These include economy delivery, which can take up to fourteen business days; standard delivery, which can take up to eight days; and express delivery, which can take up to three days.

All of these delivery times include a production time of one to two business days. These timelines do not include weekends or public holidays of the countries they are shipped to.

Creating a Print-on-Demand Business With Canva

Canva’s biggest strengths include its simplicity, template support, ease of shipping, and streamlined approach to the POD process.

This means designers no longer need to go out of their way to find a company to print their artwork after it’s designed. Canva provides a simple and effective solution and can be handy when designers need to print something quickly and easily for customers. Looking for more information regarding the costs of this business strategy?
